Stable public systems provide strong support for continuous production in enterprises. The water, gas, and steam used in production must meet the cleanliness requirements of pharmaceutical processes, GMP, and relevant guidelines and regulations. They play a key role in ensuring product quality and meeting the requirements of sanitary-grade products. The pharmaceutical water systems in the biopharmaceutical industry need to undergo special treatment, including purified water, water for injection, sterilized water for injection, etc. In order to ensure the cleanliness of the plant and the absence of contamination during cell and tissue culture processes, gas needs to be sterilized and filtered, including sterile compressed air, sterile nitrogen gas supply systems, and sanitary-grade steam configuration systems. The following example will focus on pharmaceutical water.
There are three main types of pharmaceutical water, namely purified water, water for injection, and sterilized water for injection.
Workstation | Function | Recommended Filter Cartridge Series | Recommended Filter Housing Series |
---|---|---|---|
1 Pretreatment | Remove large particles and impurities in water. |
2 Security filtering | Pre-filtration before reverse osmosis to protect the RO membrane. |
3 Respirator | Maintain tank pressure to prevent contamination. |
4 Terminal sterilizing filtration | Remove bacteria and microorganisms in water to stabilize water quality. |
5 Steam essence filter | Remove particles, pipeline rust, and impurities in steam to protect sterilization filter cartridge. | -- |
